That's it, I've had it! Ecklie thought, storming out of his office, Grissom has a lot of explaining to do. Everyone stepped aside as he came storming through, on his way to Gil Grissom's office. “You undermined my authority, Gil, I ought to have you FIRED for this one,” he growled as he slammed the door to Grissom's office open. He crossed over to his desk and flung a stack of papers in front of the other man. “You had no right to do this. I specifically told you to close this case. Now the media's gotten wind of it, we'll have to re-examine all of the evidence we collected on it. ALL OF THE EVIDENCE, GIL, that's upwards of 50 prints, a multitude of fibers, we'll have to re-question the witnesses and suspects,” he paused, shaking his head, “we had a slam dunk case against this guy. Now you're telling me we have to POSTPONE the trial date just so you can have your little power trip?” He threw his hands up, wishing he had the power to just strike Gil Grissom down. “What do you have to say for yourself?” he demanded.
Grissom looked up at him. “Hi Conrad, have you been standing there long?”
Ecklie growled, furious, and stormed out of the office.
